The Vertex VXF-10 Adventurer series portable radios, with exclusive Weather Channel Scan (WCS), that monitors weather channel broadcasts throughout the U.S. The VXF-10 series radios provide 500 mW of quiet, reliable two-way communications with up to a 2-mile range. Up to 30 hours of normal operation time with 3 AA batteries, or continuous operation with the optional (E-DC-15) car adapter. State of the art radio features include Digital Coded Squelch (DCS), and the exclusive Auto Range Transpond System (ARTS). All 14 available FRS UHF channels are included to allow for a variety of uses, and no FCC license is required.
